Picture of the Week, Red Flowerpot Coral

Red Flowerpot Coral

Gone are the days where flowerpot corals were immediately doomed to death once they were placed in an aquarium. The last few years have seen a rather large explosion of the once forsaken corals, in particular those of the red variety like the one pictured. Hobbyists, in general, have gained a better understanding of just what these corals need in order to thrive, and propagation has brought the corals up to a more hardy level. These combinations have made the flowerpot a crowd favorite once again, and fish stores seem to be loaded with them. Because of this, we couldn’t help but feature them as our latest AquaNerd Picture of the Week.
