Have a new fish that just isn’t ready for the display tank but you don’t have a quarantine setup? If that’s the case, try using an in-tank isolation chamber. These chambers consist of nothing more than an acrylic box that sits within the main display aquarium. It is usually fixed in place near the top, and often has holes that allow water flow into the chamber. These setups are not only great for new fish, but really any fish that needs a little time to itself. Perhaps you have an overly aggressive fish, or one that is being picked on that just needs a break. In any situation, the isolation chambers work great and will likely prevent you from losing a fish.
