Anothe blast of winter air is taking the country by storm, and its impact can be severe on not only you and your family, but your pets as well. If you are in the midst of the chilling temperatures, be sure to monitor the water paramters of your aquarium very carefully. Temperature, obviously, is the big one here. If the tank gets too cold, corals could bleach out and die, and fish could go belly up. Make smart use of heaters and the home’s temperature to keep the tank running at or around the temperature seet spot. You might be running a few degrees cooler than normal, so you might want to run the lights a little longer, up the setting on your heater, and just continue to monitor.
