Either way, things like protein skimmer, frag racks, and even aquarium controllers can be built in your home, and many of them with everyday household items. In most situations, proper and efficient functionality can be achieved without having to focus too much on the aesthetics, though if you’ve already put a lot of work into the design and building process, you might as well make it look good too. Regardless, the DIY projects can save you a lot of money and get you the exact product you want without all of the unnecessary fluff.
