Picture of the Week, Clown Tang

Clown Tang

We took a couple of days off from the daily hustle and bustle to stop and smell the roses, which just so happened to be at the Houston Zoo. While there, we couldn’t resist stepping through the small, but enjoyable aquarium exhibit, which was full of really fat and healthy fish. Besides seeing monstrous rabbitfish and angelfish, we happened across this stunning clown tang. This gorgeous fish sports alternating black, yellow, and blue horizontal stripes, which terminate just below the pectoral fin and an all-white belly. The specimen we saw at the aquarium exhibit had perfect coloration, with no blemishes in sight…and because this isn’t a fish we see too often these days, we figured it would be a perfect candidate for our pic of the week.
