The aquarium equipment scene has, for years, has been dominated by European and Asian brands. It is hard to walk into a store and not see a high end product from Germany and an increasing amount of other European countries. Similarly, the cheap Chinese goods also fill the shelves of local and online aquarium equipment retailers. But, there is a very strong American showing in this arena, and it’s high time you consider buying locally built products for your marine aquarium. American products have really come into their own over the past decade or so. US companies have advanced lighting and pump technologies, have dominated aquarium controller markets, and continue to branch out into other realms. The quality is there. The innovation is there. And the style is there. So why not keep your dollars in the states and benefit your aquarium at the same time?
