Aquariums are not disaster-proof, far too many of us know this firsthand. But these disasters can be prevented in most cases with a little forethought, proper execution, and well-balanced maintenance routines. An overflow caused my a snaik or algae buildup in an overflow box, for example, is due to a lack of maintenance and poor planning. By understanding where algae can grow as well as the tendencies of most marine snails, you could easily prevent such an event. This thought process can applies to all walks of aquarium life, you just have to be smart enough and motivated enough to do it.
