When dealing with coral frags, whether you’re a buyer or a seller, it is best to only work with healed frags. As a buyer, you run less risk of having a coral die once it gets into your tank if you purchased frags that have had plenty of time to heal and grow onto the frag plugs. As a seller, the benefits are the same, though they apply differently. While the healed frags will show up healthier than fresh cut corals, you will build a better reputation for quality and will have fewer DOA headaches to deal with. Sure, it takes longer to get the product out the door with this approach, as you can’t just cut, glue, ship, repeat. But the increase in quality will pay for itself time and time again.
