One of the most crucial steps to setting up your aquarium may surprise you. Believe it or not, leveling your aquarium stand is so extremely important that it could mean life or death for your tank. When setting up, put a level on your stand before placing the tank on it, then do it all over again once you’ve got the tank hooked up and full of water. If the tank is not level, stress cracks could develop over time, emptying out your entire tank and killing all of your livestock.
