LONG BATTERY LIFE
The tester uses a standard CR2032 Li-ion battery that will provide up to 100 hours of continuous use and the battery icon will blink to let you know when it is time to swap out the battery.
This might be one of the most important features that other electronic salinity testers lack. Many salinity testers use stainless steel sensors that can impact accuracy and polarization. The Hanna HI98319 uses graphite sensors which reduces polarization effects and since graphite will not oxidize in salt water, graphite provides more reliable and accurate readings. The tester is sealed from the elements and if you accidentally drop in salt water it floats for easier recovery.
INTEGRATED TEMPERATURE PROBE
Conductivity measurements are very sensitive to temperature variations. HI98319 has an exposed temperature sensor to ensure fast, accurately compensated readings even during sudden temperature fluctuations.
