The New Jump Pump from Maxpect is Coming in 2020

1

The New Maxspect Jump pumps are coming in 2020 and they will offer 4 new models that range from 1585 GPH – 3170 GPH. The four centrifugal pumps in the series deliver flow rates from 1,585 gallons per hour up to 3,170 GPH.

Like other DC pumps, the pump includes wired external controller. The 4-button controller allows you to increase or decrease the pump speed, toggle between different pulsing flow modes, and idle the pump in feed mode. An LED digital display makes navigating through the different control options simple and easy to understand.

Maxspect JUMP DC Pump Key Features

  • 4 powerful pumps to choose from
  • Small footprint (See Below)
    • The MJ-DC6k and MJ-DC8k are the same sizes
    • The MJ-DC10k and MJ-DC12k are the same sizes
  • Flow rates ranging from 1,585 to 3,170 GPH
  • Quiet operation with Sine Wave Technology
  • Fittings are compatible with standard tubing sizes
  • Pump controller included
    • 15 flow speed settings
    • 3 feed mode durations (10, 20 or 30 minutes)
    • 2 pulsing modes
      • PULSE MODE 1: Ranges from 0.6 to 4.4 seconds
      • PULSE MODE 2: Frequency ranges from 3 to 22 seconds

If the design looks familiar to you then that is no surprise, Maxspect took design queues from a jet engine.

Recently the pumps were displayed at MACNA in Orlando, FL. The pumps not only look different but they feel different than your standard DC pump. The surface of the pumps have a rubberized coating on the outside so they are easier to grip when its time for pump maintenance or cleaning.

Maxspect is using the latest Sine Wave technology further reducing pump noise making these pumps nearly silent. Most aquarium pumps use a traditional electrical current that alternates sharply resulting in more noise at a higher decibel level.

Unlike the Maxspect Gyre XF330 and XF350 series wavemakers, the Jump doesn’t use WiFi or Bluetooth. As mentioned above, each pump comes with its own external controller for quick and easy access to all of the control capabilities.

You can really fine tune the pumps with 15 separate levels of flow control. Also, there are a couple of pulsing flow modes you can utilize to create natural, wave-like movement in your aquarium. The Jump pumps also include a feed mode button for when it’s time to feed fish, corals and other invertebrates.
