Having the latest and greatest aquarium technology is nice, but do our aquariums really need weather simulations built into their lighting systems. I could understand the argument for dawn and dusk simulations, as well as nighttime lighting, but do our aquariums benefit from the occasionally simulated cloudy day or thunderstorm? Several aquarium lights feature these advances, which are all very nice, but are they worth it and do they really provide any benefit?
