Feeding Your Harlequin Filefish on Video

Back in August, we discussed a neat trick used by a local hobbyist to feed his Harlequin Filefish. The hobbyist, realizing the fish’s natural tendencies to associate SPS corals with food since it eat the polyps of these corals, smeared a bit of Instant Ocean gel-based food over a dead Acropora skeleton. The fish took the food rather quickly, and have continued to do so. Typically these fish are very difficult to keep alive due to their picky diet, but this method of feeding will certainly make them easier to care for.
