The Cuban Gramma dejongi continues to stun us here at the AquaNerd Blog, and recently another video clip of one has been spotted. The video shows the Gramma hovering in place over a Zoanthid colony, which other Grammas are also known for. Being very territorial, this Cuban fish can also be seen watching its tank mates swimming around it. In some instances, fish in this genus will aggressively fight off other fish intruding into its space in the aquarium, especially if they are of similar shape or color. As far as I know, the G. dejongi is still unavailable in the US, though other countries have had access to these fish for some time. Perhaps a few of them will trickle into the states via De Jong Marinelife or some other foreign fish retailer or wholesaler.
