The Southern California Marine Aquarium Society (SCMAS) is hosting their seventh annual Reef-A-Palooza event this weekend in Costa Mesa, California. Reef-A-Palooza is a showcase event where sellers and exhibitors can interact with reef hobbyists, show off their equipment or livestock, and even sell those items to attendees. The show will also be a place to share hobby knowledge, experiences, and to educate the masses, though the focus will be primarily on the exhibitor/hobbyist interaction. Over 70 exhibitors and 2,000 attendees are expected to be at the event.
The Reef-A-Palooza conference will start early Saturday and stretch on into Sunday evening. Many speakers are scheduled to discuss LED aquarium lighting, nutrient export, reef aquarium fish, and even ocean pollution. Prizes will also be given away to multiple attendees. The prizes include multiple aquariums, media reactors, LED lighting, gift certificates and many more.
