Upgrading Camera, More Videos Soon from AquaNerd

In the persistent search for new gadgets and making this site better, we are upgrading our camera to one that will also shoot video. Even though we have already shot a few videos and loaded them to our YouTube page, they were lacking in the quality that I expect this site to have. So, out with the old and in with the new. The new camera will most likely be a Canon T2i, which we’ll use to shoot HD videos and even up close videos using our macro lens. I am certainly a Canon fanboy because I’ve had such success with them, but in the old Canon vs Nikon debate you really can’t go wrong with either choice. I chose the T2i because it’s an affordable camera that will do all that I need it to.

With the new camera, we’ll also start working on an article on how to shoot high quality videos of your reef tank. They will be a follow up to our ever popular string of Reef Aquarium Photography articles which demonstrate how to get good still images. In the meantime, enjoy our LPS coral feeding video (in high speed) below. It’s not the greatest, but it’ll do for now.
