Capital City Coral Corral

If you’re like us and just can’t get enough of the aquarium conferences and trade shows, then you’ll be pleased to hear about the 1st annual Capital City Coral Corral. C4, as it is abbreviated, is a single-day marine aquarium conference based in Austin, TX and hosted by the Austin Reef Club. The event takes place on April 6th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and attendees will be greeted with a vendor hall loaded with aquarium equipment and livestock vendors, guest speakers, and loads of raffle prizes. The doors open at 9am sharp and close around 5:30pm, and the entire will be dotted with five guest speakers. Ticket prices are set at $40 per person if you register by the end of this month.

As far as the speaker lineup goes, C4 has a rather impressive list. Charles Delbeek, James Fatheree, Marc Levenson, and Mark Callahan are all the familiar faces that will be chatting to the crowd, and locally sourced Nick Ireland from Sea World San Antonio will be giving a presentation as well. Each of the presentations will last roughly one hour, which is pretty typical.

So, if you’re in the Austin area in early April or just need another reason to rub elbows with fellow hobbyists, be sure to hit up the Capital City Coral Corral.
