A couple of days ago, we posted an image on our Facebook page of a large collections of Fluval Sea additives blocking out the view of our countertop nano aquarium. Unintended by us, the image drew some comments centering around the practice of most additive companies to simply rebottle and rebrand other products. While this is commonplace, the crew at Hagen (the parent company of Fluval) wanted to let our readers know that they do in fact make each and every one of their additives in-house. Francis Yupangco, who recently joined Hagen as the new Aquatic Development Manager, shared this video with us in response to the statements, and it does a great job of showing how the supplements are developed.
The video walks us through Hagen’s beefy facility, which includes a warehouse, laboratory, and plenty of stations for mixing chemicals together to form the additives. It also highlights some of the manufacturing process, with special attention being paid to Hagen’s quality assurance.
So, it’s obvious that not every company follows the mold of rebottling and rebranding existing products, and we are very happy to see that the Fluval Sea supplements are made from scratch and under strict conditions. It is sure to give buyers a great deal of confidence when purchasing supplements
Thanks Francis for sharing this video with us.
