Do you remember the excitement you experienced when you bought your first fish or coral? How about those late nights that you stayed up with a flashlight and a crummy camera just to get pictures of bristleworms and various other invertebrates that you had no idea what they were? Just because you know everything about your tank and the novelty of the hobby has worn off, you don’t have to be numb to exciting things in the hobby. Every fish, every coral, and every invert are just as exciting and entertaining as they were the first day you got them, and we need to do a better job of getting all worked up about or tanks. Sure, they may not be a big deal to you anymore, but don’t lose those feelings as you progress through the hobby. Keep the excitement alive and you will enjoy your aquarium so much more.
