If you’ve been looking to get your marine aquarium fix, then next weekend is probably one of the best times to do so. The Dallas Fort Worth Marine Aquarium Society (DFWMAS) is hosting their annual Next Wave and Coral Farmers Market combo event. The event takes place on Saturday, May 3rd and will play host to dozens of aquarium equipment and livestock vendors, a handful of renowned guest speakers, and hundreds of hobbyists from all over the state.
In terms of the speaker lineup, Next Wave is sort of breaking with tradition and packing in a total of 5 experts to talk about their passions. Traditionally, the event has only had 3 or 4 guest speakers. The guest lineup features Marc Levenson, Jake Adams, Julian Sprung, Kevin Kohen, and Dr. Tim Hovanec.
The doors of the DFW Sheraton, the event’s venue, will open up at 7am for registration, with the actual conference running from 8am-6pm. In addition to the show, there will be a speaker “Meet and Greet” at hotel’s bar on Friday night.
And as usual, a huge raffle will be a major attraction and it will be loaded up with thousands of dollars worth of great prizes.
