The video speaks for itself. Early yesterday morning we found out about a ship carrying oil and coal that ran aground on the Great Barrier Reef. Well recently, video footage has been released, as well as a small update. This ship’s owner, China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, or COSCO, has been in hot water before with other spills and incidents. In 2007, COSCO was linked to a spill in San Francisco Bay, and in 2009 it was blamed for a spill in Norway. Both of those spills were near environmentally sensitive areas.
