Candy Striped Cave Basslet Seen on Video

1

Along with the images of the Candy Striped Cave Basslet (Tosanoides flavofasciatus) we saw a couple of days ago, the crew at Blue Harbor has also shot and shared some video footage of the male and female basslet pair. The fish can be seen lazily swimming around a small aquarium, awaiting their next home in some lucky hobbyist’s aquarium. Unfortunately, this pair and virtually every other candy striped cave basslet brought into the hobby will, in all likelihood, never see the saltwater playgrounds of hobbyists in the US. Instead, these Japanese natives will stay in Asia, finding homes in the tanks of hobbyists in China, Japan, Thailand, and so on.
