With MACNA getting closer and closer, there are several groups forming around the event for all of those aquarists with special interests. We’ve already covered a special group for spouses attending the three day conference, and now it would appear that there’s another group for SCUBA diving enthusiasts. Called MACNA 2013 Submerged, this new Facebook group has something that the trade show could never offer…live fish and corals in their natural habitat. Florida has tremendous reef life all over the state, and since many aquarium keepers are already divers anyways, it’s a group that just makes perfect sense.
While the page is still brand new and hasn’t seen much activity, it will serve as the perfect hub for any diver attending the show. Some big name folks have already joined the page, with promises of Florida diving both before and after the conference. I’ve got my SCUBA certification, and if I can get my wife to hang out with the spouses group, you might just see me navigating those reefs as well.
